What we do and don't do
We don't do energy audits, insulation or air sealing, and we don't recommend one auditor over another. For insulation and air sealing, use Xcel's participating contractors.
When you send an audit report or photos, the request goes to the Denver heating and cooling contractor that does our estimates and installs. It prices heat pumps, heat pump water heaters and furnaces. The photos on this site are from its installs.
Where the facts come from
Xcel's visit prices and contents come from CLEAResult's booking pages and Xcel's own pages, read on October 13, 2026. Several prices are marked "for a limited time" and can change, so check when you book. Audit rebate rules come from Xcel's Home Energy Audit page and 2026 rebate summary. The steps of the visit come from the Department of Energy's Energy Saver pages, HERS facts from RESNET, and Denver's energy code rules from the City and County of Denver.
Independent auditors and HERS raters set their own prices, so this site doesn't list one.
